OMC Abogados & Consultores: Re-launch of consultancies in the mining and energy sector

At the beginning of the year 2019, OMC Abogados & Consultores re-launched its consulting services and legal advice in this sector with the firm purpose of strengthening the development and participation of the companies involved in this sector of the industry.

The results obtained from the redesign and implementation of the Mining-Energetic Area in our law firm consists in offering an integral advisory that can allow us to solve conflicts and foresee possible inconsistencies within the current legal framework, both at the level of national standards and international agreements, based on an analysis of regulatory quality (which also involves a cost-benefit analysis of the adopted measures), in order to fully protect the interests of the industry, always maintaining full respect for environmental legislation and its reality, natural resources and preexisting native and/or peasant communities in the areas of development of the mining-energy industry, as well as the private agreements concluded between the different actors involved in this activity.

It should be noted that the service provided by OMC Abogados & Consultores also includes the preparation of documents and private contracts, such as: purchase - sale contracts, transfers, assignment of rights, leasing, among others, as well as advice on labor law, tax and administrative procedures leading to the management, conduction and obtaining of permits and licenses for the phases of exploration and exploitation of land that houses minerals, oil or some other source of natural energy, in order to cover any need required by the mining-energy industry.
