Proof of that is Indecopi's effort to encourage the registration of trademarks, among the so-called collective trademarks. This registration will allow the products of the Mypes, of the entrepreneurs, of the native communities and civil associations, of the breeders, producers, agro-industrial businessman, and exporters to have a certificate that supports the ownership of the name. This way, they can compete in the national and international market.

A creation or invention can change the destiny of societies or give them a new meaning in their search to achieve development. Since 2019, 3 938 applications for collective marks have been filed, according to the Directorate of Distinctive Signs.
