OMC Abogados & Consultores participated of the International Congress of Intellectual Property held in Brazil

From March 19th to 21st, the Grand Mercure Hotel facilities welcomed a hundred of IP professionals from Brazil and other countries, who traveled to Sao Paulo City with the purpose of taking part of the XVIII International Trademark Congress, organized by the Associação Paulista da Propriedade Intectual: ASPI, entitled “Ambiente virtual na mira de uma nova era”.
OMC Abogados & Consultores represented by Miss Gheira Mori, member of the professional staff and specialist in IP of the afore-mentioned Peruvian IP Law firm, was one of the foreign firms which took part of this International congress.
During three days there were a series of conferences, which topics were mainly based on the technology and the current position that the IP has in the modern environment. Amongst the most remarkable titles we have: Priority Rights; Cyber Crimes; Fake news, piracy and other felonies; Standards and essential patents in the virtual environment; Streaming and Intellectual Property; Protection of personal data – juridical impacts, amongst others.
