IP Latino: Network of specialists in Intellectual Property

During the sessions of the Annual Congress INTA 2011 in the city of San Francisco (USA), a group of lawyers friends of Latin origin had the idea of launching a networking of specialists in the field of intellectual property covering all the countries in Latin America.

This is how this association was founded under the name of IP Latino, chosen to start formal operations the 2014 INTA Congress, in the city of Hong Kong, the last month of May. Its main function is to promote cooperation among its members and to allow personalized service to its clients in all Latin American countries, who will be able to reach all these countries through a single platform.

This business format has been designed thinking in the new opportunities offered by international trade, through which law firms can be associated without losing their autonomy or modify their business name, as would be the case of a company merger or absorption by a major partner.

Among its advantages, it is important to stand out the competitive tariffs that are current for all Latin American countries, trademark searches free of charge in these countries as well as the excellent personalized and standardized service that is kept as a premise for all customers.

The founding members of this association includes the firm OMC Abogados & Consultores from Peru, among many other Latin American firms. As part of its activities for the year 2,014 IP Latino has scheduled to participate in the month of September at the annual congress of AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) in the city of Toronto, Canada; for this event IP Latino will have a booth where it will receive the visit from all the colleagues interested in having their services.
