Inheritances of intestate succession in digital format

OMC Abogados & Consultores informs that from January 18, 2021, all inheritance of intestate succession must be processed in digital format, as established by SUNARP: National Superintendency of Public Registries. This measure is part of the process of administrative simplification and modernity that the executive branch has been executing and also as a biosecurity measure by avoiding the crowding of people in the registry offices.

According to the law, the called forced heirs would be the descendants, parents, grandparents and other ascendants, as well as the spouse. But in the case that there are none of the aforementioned, blood relatives such as brothers, uncles and nephews will become legal heirs.
